Orientdig spreadsheet FAQ: four marketplaces on one desk
How rows here get shortlisted across Taobao, Weidian, 1688 and JD, what unlimited QC images realistically means, and what happens during the days before dispatch.
← Back to overviewBasics
Why emphasise four marketplaces instead of one?
Because the same item can sit at four different prices across Taobao, Weidian, 1688 and JD. Comparing all four is usually where the real saving comes from.
What does this sheet do for me?
It does the boring comparison work first — picking a source, checking seller history, noting version differences — so you start at rows rather than at a blank search box.
Do I need an Orientdig account to browse?
Not at all. Browsing rows is free; the account matters after you decide to buy, because that is where QC images, dispatch and shipping decisions live.
Buying & payment
What does 'unlimited QC images' mean in practice?
You can ask for many more angles than a fixed-quota system allows, which suits patterned or constructed items. Requests stay reasonable — ask for what helps you decide.
How fast does a parcel leave the warehouse?
Dispatch typically happens within a handful of working days of your instruction — a three to five day window is common — after which the line's own clock starts.
Is storage time something to worry about?
The free window is long enough to accumulate a real haul. The habit to build is shipping before you forget the parcel exists, not shipping immediately every time.
QC & shipping
Which items deserve extra images?
Anything where construction decides value: stitched panels, printed graphics, zips, hardware colour. Those details are cheap to photograph and expensive to discover late.
How do I keep volumetric weight down?
Discard shoe boxes, flatten soft goods, and ask for the parcel to be packed tightly. Volume, not weight, is what quietly inflates most freight bills.
Can I mix cheap and expensive rows in one parcel?
Technically yes, but value concentration matters for declarations. Very high-value hauls are better split so one parcel never carries all the exposure.
Money & safety
How should I read the total on an order?
As a stack: item price, domestic leg, international freight, service fee, then customs and extras. Reading them together prevents the classic mistake of judging on item price alone.
What happens with prohibited items?
They get flagged at the warehouse and either returned domestically or discarded, depending on policy. Checking the restricted list first costs seconds and saves weeks.
Who do I contact when something goes wrong?
Start in your Orientdig order — the item record carries payment and QC evidence. Platform-side seller disputes are a separate, slower track.
